in conjunction with the Athenaeum School of the Arts.<\/em><\/p>\n

Approximately 12 paintings are on display in Girard Gourmet, a venue that hosts showcases of Athenaeum faculty throughout the year.<\/p>\n

The pieces are loosely connected in theme. Some works are drawn from the series Gentrification and its Discontents<\/em>, and explore the gentrifying downtown neighborhood of Sherman Heights, where the artist lives and works. Others are part of the series White Paintings<\/em>, pictures which explore a range of issues from the personal to the political through a personal iconography.<\/p>\n

Inman teaches painting at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in Logan Heights, San Diego.<\/p>\n
