An industrial building I like near our favorite Korean restaurant on Convoy (Grandma’s Tofu). This is usually the closest parking spot we can get. Original San Diego, California urban landscape; oil on canvas board.

I think this building is a liquor store. Original streetscape painting of Pacific Beach in San Diego, California. My first painting on oil primed linen- and I have to say, I love painting on this surface!
Original landscape painting of avocado groves studded with giant boulders in the high hills near Temecula, California.
As night began to gather, the Eucalyptus went shades of deep purple to pale lavender in the fading light. Painted from life with pastel; this studio oil painting was painted from that pastel.
A noontime walk in Tecolote Canyon, down the hill from the University of San Diego.
Marine Layer breaking up over Torrey Pines in La Jolla, San Diego, California.
Monet has a wonderful painting of an olive grove budding out in the springtime, and this olive grove in Balboa Park is close enough to my house to walk to.
SOLD.
Afternoon on Coronado. Twin palms flank what I think is a car repair place, and I didn’t paint the sign, but I think it was called “Cordova” or something along those lines. Like a lot of my paintings, this one started life as a pastel painting. I love the sleek streamline moderne lines of this low structure.
