Ghosts by Kevin Inman
Reception with the Artist
Friday April 7, 2017 5:30 – 7:30 PM
February 4- April 28 2017 at Girard Gourmet

in conjunction with the Athenaeum School of the Arts.
Approximately 12 paintings are on display in Girard Gourmet, a venue that hosts showcases of Athenaeum faculty throughout the year.
The pieces are loosely connected in theme. Some works are drawn from the series Gentrification and its Discontents, and explore the gentrifying downtown neighborhood of Sherman Heights, where the artist lives and works. Others are part of the series White Paintings, pictures which explore a range of issues from the personal to the political through a personal iconography.
Inman teaches painting at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in Logan Heights, San Diego.
