Last summer I saw a show of tiny Picasso sketches of Barcelona and loved them. Was going to skip this medieval church but an antique nun talked me into going inside, where I found another of his scenes. The cloister at Sant Pau del Camp.

I forced Mike to pose here because I thought this was the same door from a Picasso I’d seen at the Museu Picasso. Turns out I was wrong. Same church though.
Plein air, early AM painting of Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona. The smell: chocolate croissants baking in the nearby bakery and old spilled booze. The feeling: bird dookie trickling down my head (forgot to bring paper towels).
NFS, I’m keeping this one as a souvenir.
