I love the way the sky reflects in wave-wet sand.

La Jolla Cliff Path
Surfers, of course, sprint nimbly down the sheer cliffs. Personally, I use this twisting path- it leads from the Glider Port down to Black’s Beach.
La Jolla Beach Kayaks
Kayaks drawn up on the beach in La Jolla. This is such a tranquil spot.
And unlike Black’s Beach, no need to climb down what must be thousands of feet of cliffs. 😉
Blacks Beach Bluffs
Rolling surf seascape at Black’s Beach along the La Jolla, California coast. I love this beautiful area of the coast with its dramatic cliffs, wide beaches and hazy light; my knees love the stairs down to Blacks Beach somewhat less.
Point Loma Sea Cliffs Plein Air
A nice day at Cabrillo Point, looking out over the Pacific.
This painting required some touching up in the studio afterwards. The horizon line was bugging me, so I fixed that. My wet painting carrier also gouged off a strip of paint on the left side, which I knew was going to happen but I didn’t get around to fixing it until it had already dried, so I just tried to match the color.
