A kind person gave me an entire box of miniature bundts to eat/paint. They went with a ghost baguette. Let them eat cake, you know.

Caprese sandwich from Mona Lisa in Little Italy. Normally I try to time paintings a little better for the holiday, but didn’t do it right this time. Happy Easter via yesterday’s painting!

I left this still life set up for a few weeks and worked on it when I felt like it. By the end the baguette was bleached completely white.

“The Bloody Baguette.” The red blotch is when I went to make a sandwich. Knife slipped and I got my thumb most impressively. After brief reflection, realized this was no longer edible and decided to paint it. I avoid artisan-style baguettes for exactly this reason.
