I went through a moderately obsessive period of painting baked goods. Mostly slices of cake, but also baguettes and macarons. This is one of those paintings.
Last year I went into a time of obsession with macarons, and I sampled as many as I could. I bought this chocolate one on a trip to Chicago.
These two apples are now part of a giant pie baking in the oven. Total damage: 8 apples.
What am I thankful for? Many things, and right at this moment I am especially thankful for my food processor and the kitchen rage blackouts it prevented.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Two Granny Smiths. I like the delicate color shifts in the greens of these apples, and I wanted to try out a different color palette. AND I’d bought twelve apples just in case I didn’t have enough for a pie. 😉 So this painting was born.
One of my favorite desserts.
Painting of still life with baguette. The delicious end of the loaf of french bread… that turned hard as a rock and made its way into art.
I painted this back when my still life shelf was still red (it’s gray now).
Flower Painting- Yellow Freesia Buds
Yellow freesias are one of my favorite flowers. I love the color and the way they smell. They are blooming all over San Diego right now, it looks great.
Freesia Painting is for sale at my online art store.
Easter Candy Cadbury Mini Eggs- Oil Painting
I love these things. Cadbury’s Mini Eggs are my favorite Easter basket candy. Best consumed in moderation… but then again you only live once!
Still life painting of a pink bunny Easter marshmallow Peep leaning against the wall. Or is this Easter Peep standing alertly? I’m not sure.
Easter Peeps Painting is for sale.
