Dumpsters, North Park
A pair of buddies in North Park. I don’t know when I painted this. I found it in the trunk of the car.
Sunset Cliffs, San Diego
One of my favorite spots to paint on a gray day a few weeks back.
La Jolla Beach
Painted on location on a perfect La Jolla day. This is just down from the Children’s Pool.
Windansea Beach, La Jolla
Cool and gray in my lawn chair on the beach.
Over North Park
It was superhot last week so I headed to this spot with a nice big shade tree and catching what breeze there was on the heights above North Park.
Ocean Beach
This spot along the Sunset Cliffs used to be a rock arch that collapsed during high seas a few months back.
Alley in North Park
Trash Cans in the Alley
Painted yesterday in North Park.
The Old Hood
We used to live up the hill from here in Hillcrest. It’s a great area.
Hot Dog Stand at Night
Seen from a few floors up in downtown San Diego.
A Sea Scene
19th and 94 Freeway
Often the evening light here in Sherman Heights looks like Armageddon. Maybe it’s the fumes off the freeway scattering the light on the gleaming overpass infrastructure.
Marriage of the Sea
Seen from the Ocean Beach pier.
16 x 16″ oil on cradled panel. This piece is on display at Gallery 21 in Balboa Park through June 5.
No Parking in Hillcrest
I thought of this as “No Parking” but I guess the red diamonds are really a “Don’t Crash Down this Cliff” warning.
