Downtown in San Diego, the trains run along the waterfront. When a long freight train is passing, you have time to paint a quick watercolor. 15 minutes? Something like that.

At sunset, I met a pedicab driver who used to be a lawyer. In a couple of weeks, Comic Con will descend on this street, and it will be mayhem. Fun mayhem.

Downtown – for sale

I had jury duty Wednesday and spent my lunch break painting watercolors at a coffee shop downtown. It was a fun, lively place to hang out and paint.

This building, formerly a Spanish/ Art Deco power substation, is now the SDSU art museum.

At the Embassy Hotel, you can stay by the night, the week, or the month… at least that’s what it says on the sign.

This is the side of the building- the front of the building is in a Renaissance style, and it was built in, I think, 1914.

If you go this weekend, you can also enjoy the Greek Festival across the street at St Spiridon. I will be going tomorrow- as I am unable to resist Feta Fries.
