Market St in San Diego, at the bus stop to points uptown. I live around here.

I started this painting and then went back after probably a couple of weeks and the big green apartment building had suffered a fire in one of the upstairs units. The scorched part wasn’t visible from this vantage point, but it was a weird feeling.

Downtown – for sale

I had jury duty Wednesday and spent my lunch break painting watercolors at a coffee shop downtown. It was a fun, lively place to hang out and paint.

This building, formerly a Spanish/ Art Deco power substation, is now the SDSU art museum.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever put cars in a painting. Well, maybe I did in Spain but it’s been more than a decade, so I don’t think it counts.

Also, terrifying street to drive on, BTW. Let alone to park; kudos to those brave drivers.
