Rigoberto’s – buy now
Rigoberto’s taco shop in North Park, San Diego. I don’t normally paint cars for various reasons aesthetic and philosophical, but in this case it seemed weird to paint a Drive Thru without including a car.

Victorian in U Heights- buy now
Now a yoga studio, next door to my trusty laundromat.

Orange and blue termite tent- buy now
I thought the colors of this termite tent were especially nice.

On the Plaza de Panama – buy now
Until recently, this area was a parking lot, but now it’s a wide empty plaza, free of cars and perfect for painting.

Morning Coffee in Golden Hill- for sale
Painted at the Starbucks in Golden Hill yesterday morning, looking over the Farmer’s Market.

Hillcrest- buy now
A vintage Spanish style home in my old neighborhood- Hillcrest. I love the way the trees in front hide the house from the street, like a secret.

Victorian House- buy now
A nice old Victorian in North Park, San Diego.

Somewhere San Diego- buy now
My new-to me, circa 1905 cottage in San Diego. White picket fence and everything.

Lake Murray – buy now
I painted this sitting on a rock at Lake Murray, near SDSU.
I’ve been working in watercolor more lately, mostly because I cut my pinky finger, and it’s such a hassle trying to keep oil paint from getting in the cut and if I wear a bandaid, my finger doesn’t bend. So there you go, watercolor.

Spanish house- buy now
The strangely slumping house across the street. I painted this out my studio window.

Liquor Store in North Park- for sale
High noon on El Cajon Blvd in North Park.

Alcazar garden- buy now
This is one of my favorite spots to paint in Balboa Park.

Outside the laundromat- for sale
While I was working on this drawing at the laundromat, I overheard the following conversation:
3 year old boy: What’s that?
Father: It’s a flag. Can you say flag?
3 year old: Flag. I’m gonna f*** her like a pig!!!
– I just kept painting.
